About Benjamin Campos

Hello my name is Benjamin Campos and I am a family man and unlike Nicholas Cage in the movie “Family Man” who dreams of having a family but wakes up to find out he doesn’t.  I on the other hand am not dreaming but living that dream.  I have four daughters whose names are:  Ariana , Catarina, Rachel and the newest addition to the family Leah.  I am blissfully married to my wife Tracy who I thank everyday for putting up with me.  We have plenty of ups and downs but through it all our relationship has gotten stronger.  And I look forward to many more years together.

We currently reside in the beautiful City of Lakewood and I have lived in the area for over 40 years.  My parent’s Benjamin and Josefa immigrated to the United States from Momax, Zacatecas, Mexico before I was born.  We spoke Spanish at home so naturally you would think that I would pick some of it up.  I did and this how I learned to speak and understand Spanish.  I am so  thankful for all the sacrifices my parents went thorough for my siblings and I.

I grew up in the City of Paramount were I attended elementary, intermediate and high school.  As I was approaching the end of my senior year in high school, I made all the necessary arrangements to attend college like lining up the funding, choosing the school and gaining admittance.  But something came over me and I had a change of heart.  I had to do something more exciting and adventurous.  So, I decided to enlist in the Army and away I went to Fort Knox, Kentucky for basic training.  Upon completing basic training I went to receive my technical training at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana.  Then I got my orders to go to my active duty station at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, home of the Screaming Eagles.  From Fort Campbell I went to Fort Ord, California on a stateside swap.  Can you believe someone from California wanted to go to Kentucky?  Neither could I.  But being from California I jumped at the chance to move back home.  I met my commitment to Uncle Sam and finished out my time in Fort Ord.

Once again, I made arrangements to attend college.  I went to Long Beach State University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  I found a job immediately upon graduation and became a licensed CPA.  I have been practicing as a CPA for over ten years and became a senior partner at G7 Certified Public Accountants, Inc.  In my experience as a CPA, I have been able to assist our clients in detecting fraud and implementing corrective procedures to eliminate the mismanagement of assets as well as avoiding taxes.  I have seen firsthand how businesses have failed because of the simple things that were not taken seriously and I have also seen businesses fail due to the inability to meet regulatory requirements that make no sense other than to destroy the livelihood you have spent so much time to build.  As a small business owner, I understand what it takes to make payroll and cover the overhead and it’s not more regulation, more bureaucracy or higher taxes.

Benjamin Campos means business,

and business means jobs.

Jobs mean independence,

and independence means freedom,

and freedom means ….EVERYTHING!
